Food Coach Sarah’s Favorite Recipes
These recipes have become staples in my household! Over the years, I have been challenged to cook plant-slant meals for my French family so I always look for ways to make them as flavorful as possible, while making sure they are nourishing and healthy. These are some of the recipes that I deeply enjoy (to make for guests as well) and that make me feel my best!
Creamy “Caramel” Banana & Walnut Bread Smoothie
This smoothie is so easy to prepare that I usually make it a few times a week! I always love knowing that I get omega-3s from the walnuts, gut-healthy fiber from the oats and bananas and healthy fats from the coconut milk, while my taste buds enjoy the sweetness and the creaminess of the dates! I love adding hemp seeds for an extra boost of protein.
I love to start my day with oatmeal! It is warm, soothing, filling, and puts me in the right mood for the day. Oatmeal is very versatile but this recipe is definitely one of my favorites! I sometimes add extra seeds (like flaxseed meal or chia seeds) and use seasonal fresh vegetables.
I love tacos especially for how versatile they are. I often make tacos at home and always look for ways to make it more fun or seasonal. This recipe is a little different as it uses crunchy taco shells and it makes such a great lunch or dinner! I highly recommend topping them with our Cashew Sour Cream for a delicious finish.
Hummus, Pickled Beet & Fresh Dill Sandwich
I love making hummus early in the week to always have something in a pinch. Hummus makes a great addition to a vegetable sandwich, especially during the warmer months of the year. This multicolored sandwich is packed with the flavors of fresh dill, red onion and savory hummus, which you won’t want to miss trying out soon!
All of my favorite foods in a bowl! I love the combination of the crunchy chickpeas with the warm sweet potatoes and creamy avocado. I could eat this several times a week! You can also switch things up by adding rice instead of quinoa or kale instead of spinach.
Scones are one of my favorite desserts and this recipe is a winner! I find scones to be easy to make and they make a great dessert or snack for the week. They also look fancy to me so making these for guests is so much fun.
