Where to begin? Let’s start with the first meal of the day - breakfast.
When making any change in life, the end goal can seem daunting and far-off. Choosing to go slowly by setting small, achievable goals along the way is key to successfully reach your larger goals! When it comes to transitioning to a plant-based lifestyle, this couldn’t be more true.
If you’re just starting off, we recommend simply focusing on one meal a day for 1-2 weeks - or as long as it takes for you to feel comfortable and ready to incorporate another meal! For many people, breakfast is the easiest meal to make plant-based (you may be doing this already and not realize it!).
Utilizing the Meal Planner, you can find or create an endless variety of breakfasts including overnight oats, simple pancakes, savory breakfasts, and smoothies - and often with ingredients you already have on hand! Even something as simple as whole grain toast with avocado or nut butter on top is a quick and easy plant-based breakfast. Children usually love these meals too, which makes it easier to have your entire family on board with at least one plant-based meal per day!
Breakfast can also be more creative than what you may be used to beyond common items like eggs, bacon, and toast.
